Inside the main pouch there is a thin divider for the laptop to fit on one side and if desired, a book or notepad or even a tablet could fit on the other side of the divider. The only thing that bothers me personally is that there isn’t enough room to place my notebook AND several items in the front pockets- there’s just not enough depth to the bag if that makes sense. So I can place my laptop inside, and then a charger and a couple pens and my phone squeeze into the front pouches. But I can’t place my notebook for class inside with all these things. So either the charger, pens and phone go, or the notebook goes.
Otherwise it’s excellent. It’ll fit perfectly inside my backpack!
