Fitbit App For Mac Pro
Wife and I both just got Fitbit Charge HRs. I synced mine without issue to my PC (Windows 10), but we are struggling to get things working on her MacBook. She is running OS 10.10.5. She made a Fitbit account and installed Fitbit Connect without issue, but we're unable to ever get past the 'Plug in a dongle' screen. We've tried all of the MacBook's USB ports, restarted the laptop multiple times, and shouted every swear word we know (oftentimes in more than one language); nothing has worked.

How to set silent alarms with Fitbit on Mac; How to switch wrist settings with Fitbit on Mac. Depending on which wrist your Fitbit tracker is on, Fitbit will track your activity differently. Here's how to change the setting: Launch the Fitbit Dashboard using your favorite web browser. Click the Settings button on the upper right of the screen. It's the gear icon. Click your Fitbit in the dropdown menu. Your friends on fitbit will have to join this app to compete with you. But (obviously biased) its way more fun! We have a watch app in beta too, if you want to help test. But the non-beta version is in app store, and it reads the steps that your watch records.
I've got a macbook air running 10.10.5, maybe we can compare notes and figure out what's happening. I don't usually sync via the dongle, I'll set it up and see what happens.
If I plug the dongle (the little wireless nub, not the charger dongle) and open fitbit connect it complains that it can't find my device. This seems to be due to the syncing I have set up with my iPhone. If I turn bluetooth off on my phone and hit 'try again' it syncs, so that's all working properly. If I go to the Apple menu and About This Mac, then choose System Report, I can see 'Fitbit Base Station' listed under the USB section. What happens if you generate a system report? Does it show the dongle plugged in at all?
