Next up we've got, another blog with great photography and a good mix of highstreet and highend products. I find my tastes are pretty similar to Lily's so reeeally enjoy reading the products she's loving and I'm blaming her for many of my boot's purchases. I particularly love her ongoing 'What's on my face' series and her videos with Anna which you can watch or Suzie is a new blogger to me who I first saw on youtube and I love love her videos! Suzie makes great get ready with me videos, hauls and reviews which are always put together really nicely and uploaded once a week.

If you like her blog and youtube as much as I do then you'll also love her Instagram which snaps her journeys around London, beauty buys and food fixes. Is a one stop shop for amazing skincare recommendations and reviews. As she works in the skincare world she knows exactly what products should work for you and what products you shouldn't touch with a bargepole! Caroline makes amazing 'Cheat Sheets' which are jam packed with information targetted to your problem, the one for is an absolute lifesaver. Caroline also appeared in with Nick and Sam Chapman for Body Talk Daily where she explained her skincare staples which is well worth a watch for anyone interested in skincare. The last favourite of mine comes in the form of who again is specifically amazing for skincare and of course, other beauty bits.

Ruth caters for all ages with her skincare recommendations and always suggests helpful tips on how to use the products in both her videos and on her blog. Ruth herself has been in the modelling industry for over 10 years and has such great experience of a wide range of drugstore, high end and organic products.

The first one I (re)tried I bought agees ago for my school prom, the Revlon Photoready perfecting primer; from the good ol' high street. This product is quite think and has a siliconey feel to it when you put it on your face yet doesn't feel at all greasy. The primer sets to a a matte finish so controls shine really well, making it really great for keeping your makeup on for longer. The packaging is also really positive and simple with a pump to control how much product you get. The only downside to this for me, is although it is brilliant for pores and shine; not so much for any blemishes which if anything, it emphasises.

Another high street offering comes in the form of Maybelline's Baby skin, the follow up to the infamous lip balms which hands up I loved, unlike this primer. Again, a very silicone based formula which promises 'smooth, poreless looking skin.' For me this felt really oily on skin and although it did help pores, the outcome wasn't worth the way it felt. The primer seemed to stay looking a little shiny in places and my makeup didn't stay on any better then usual which was disappointing. I know some people are claiming this is the Benefit Porefessional for a snip of the price but for my skin, it just didn't have the same affect. The Benefit porefessional is an absolute staple in my makeup bag after i'd committed to priming as it really effectively preps the skin for makeup. When you apply this primer it sets to a matte, but not powdery finish which keeps shine at bay ALL day!

The formula seems to blur your whole face, making imperfections and pores look airbrushed and ready to be targeted with your foundation or concealer. Another great use for this product is to keep it in your handbag and when you go to top up your makeup, pop this over any areas of shine for a more subtle looking mattifier.

The last stop in my primer venture was another Benefit product, That Gal face primer. First off, the name is so up my ally as my friends and I totally abuse the word 'gal' when referring to each other so I was automatically drawn to this primer. I love using this over cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, chin and centre of my forehead so basically as a makeshift highlighter. The formula is perfect for a bit of healthy radiance because although its reflective, its not glittery so pretty undetectable in natural light- result!

So hands up, I completely bought Laguna for the hype but oh wow, am I glad that I did! In my defence, I was completely out of my Mac bronzing powder and thought that the time had come for me to venture into new bronzing adventures- enter Nars. I popped into Space Nk and did my oh so typical move of closing in on the counter, swatching it on hand and chatting away to the Nars lady asking whether it will suit my skin tone; knowing full well, the minute I walked through the door, laguna would be mine. First of all, lets not neglect the sleek, velvety packaging that Nars does so well- which all adds to the swoon factor. The powder itself is sat in a reasonably sized pan with a mirror which is actually useable, so rare for compacts these days! For me, the price of this bronzer is not only justified in the product itself but the effort put into the packaging.

Like all Nars products, its beautiful yet also very practical; I particularly love that the lid clicks down preventing cracking and/ or powder explosions in handbags. The powder itself is very finely milled so even when i'm cheating my winter glow which is oh so necessary, the effect is very soft and diffused.

I love that the colour looks so natural on my skin and comes out slightly lighter then it appears in pan, so that it's buildable. So to sum up this slightly rambley post, although Nars isn't the cheapest brand out there and Laguna can dent the bank balance-it's so worth it. I have used mine continuously every day, with top ups since november and as you can see- no sign of it running down soon. I can't seen myself loving another bronzer as much as Laguna, it really is a two week holiday in the sun with a less hefty price tag. It's no secret that lipstick is a girl's best friend-particularly Mac lipsticks.

The creamy, pigmented formulas contained in those slick black cases are most definitely swoon worthy and deserve the beauty buzz they so often get. It's also no secret that i'm a bit of a makeup lover and was surprising late on jumping on the Mac lipstick bandwagon, mainly due to a bit of a short lived (thank you braces) issue with my teeth. I have recently started building up my collection, starting with the more wearable lip shades although one day, when braces are out of my life. I will own ruby woo! I really like my lipstick to feel quite moisturising and so the cremesheen formulation is definitely my favourite out of the Mac bunch, in fact the only matte shade I own is Kinda Sexy. Lipstick is one of those things I fall in and out of love with but at the moment i'm adoring it with a stripped back look i.e good skin and lashes.

So here's what the lipsticks look like when applied and the formulation means the colour payoff is fab! I love applying these as a stain by rubbing the colour in or very opaquely for that perfect pout. I managed to control myself and come away with 7 key things which will update my current makeup routine and hopefully have me set for the coming winter season. So, ramble over-on to the products: I picked up one of the Revlon Lip Butter's in the shade Peach Parfait which is such a gorgeous colour.

High quality new for mac. It's that kind of peachy pink shade with just the right amount of sparkle that every girl needs in her life, as well as being really moisturising. It's a bit of a win win product, not only does it look great but it also helps keep lips soft.

The next stop was the Rimmel stand which is always somewhere I visit as they've got some great dupes for more expensive products. Today, I decided on the Waterproof Scandaleyes pencil in Nude which is something that wanted for agees but could never get hold of, so today was a good day! The pencil is so creamy and I actually applied it pretty much as soon as i'd paid and as i'm here writing, it's still in my waterline and looking great. I got an Essie polish in Midnight Cami which is a lovely navy with a subtle sapphire undertone, perfect for November.

The Bourjois magic nail polish remover has had so much hype since the summer and I never usually buy nail polish remover, I tend to leave that to mum but today I took the plunge. Now, I haven't tried it properly yet but I quickly brushed on some Midnight Cami and tried this bad boy out.Oh wow. Literally dip your finger in, twist and your'e good to go. So that sums up my Sunday shop and i've gotta say i'm pretty pleased with myself!

I spent just over £30 and saved £13 so i'm counting that as a bargain, head down to boots soon to ensure you catch their 3 for 2 but be waned the the bank balance may suffer. The packaging of this product is so fun with all of the illustrated eyes and lips covering the outer case showcasing how you could use the inner product. I love that you get a decent sized mirror so it's really great for on the go topups and the plastic casing around the lipsticks is a godsend, there is now no excuse for eyeshadow fallout in your favourite lipstick. The shades in the palette aren't really geared particularly towards a season so you can wear them all year round and the eyeshadows suit pretty much anyone. The eyeshadow shades you get in the palette are. All that glitters- One of my all time favourite Mac eyeshadows, Atg is the perfect everyday shade.

I would describe the colour as a slightly pinky champagne which flatters all all colours and is very easy to blend. This shadow has a Veluxe Pearl finish so it is quite shimmery although I think the glitter itself only shows through if you choose to layer it up. This shadow gives a great look to the eye and for the day I'd recommend just whacking this on all over the lid with a fluffy brush, que the 217; then focusing a little bit more into the crease for subtle definition. Showstopper- This is a Matte dark brown shade which is a nice alternative to black. This shadow is great for the outer corner or to line the lash line but i'll be honest and say it's my least favourite of the four. I find the pigmentation pretty poor as you have to use so much to get a decent result and when compared with other Mac shadows it just doesn't hit the mark.

This is a re-promoted limited edition shadow and for the purpose I use it for, it does work well although I do find myself having to reach for an alternative dark brown if this one doesn't quite hit the spot. Myth- one of the infamous Mac obsessions that many share, this satin lipstick is a bit of a must have. I myself have contemplated with buying this product before but i'm glad I waited now, so I could try it in this kit first. Firstly, the colour is quite pale so on medium-darker skin tones it can look a little bit too light and give you an ill vibe so again, i'd recommend a bit of Ravishing to perk it up.

On my paler skin however it is the perfect nude! The colour is a very light pink nude which I personally favour over orange/brown based nudes and I think when my pan is empty i'm going to have to purchase a full size. I'm a little late jumping on the band wagon but I've finally got round to reviewing the No7 Cleansing Brush which was launched earlier in the summer.

No7 developed their own version of the infamous Clarisonic which is much more affordable however looks exactly the same so I was intrigued. Firstly, I really like the appearance of this little gadget because it looks so clean and the the surface is easily wiped down if you get any makeup or cleanser on it. I've had mine since it first launched in shops and have used it a fair amount since yet it still looks brand new!

I use the brush with my Manuka Doctor foaming cleanser so I get a really good lather on the product and am able to cleanse much deeper. The results vary I find, sometimes my skin will feel incredibly soft after using the brush and sometimes when my skin is a bit more problematic it will feel slightly rough/dry. Although this sounds a negative thing I think this actually really helps my blemishes because it seems to remove any dry patches and dry out spots. I would recommend using an extra thick layer of cleanser as some of it is lost to brush and this ensures a really thorough cleanse. Overall, I would recommend this brush as a more affordable alternative to the Clarisonic although I will say make sure you use this with caution.

For my skin type it's a little bit too abrasive on occasion although my mum loves it so I think it depends on how tolerant your skin is. When I first bought mine the sales assistant also told me that they were developing new brush heads and cleansers to suit the brush so also keep an eye out for those, I'm after a sensitive brush head for mine. If youre lusting after a Clarisonic yet can't quite commit the 100 something pounds then I'd get your mitts on one of these bad boys.
